ABSTRACT

Both the Implementation Plan and the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Plan 2013–2023 (Health Plan) have been developed

in close partnership with the National Health Leadership Forum and reflect the priorities that will improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal

and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The Implementation Plan outlines the actions to be taken by the Australian Government and other key

stakeholders to give effect to the vision, principles, priorities and strategies of the Health Plan.

The Implementation Plan takes forward the overarching vision of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Plan 2013-2023 by

progressing strategies and actions that improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and prevent and address systemic racism and discrimination in the health system.
