he paper first introduces the SEWB model and provides an overview of its key features, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander selfhood, SEWB domains, determinants of health, and expressions and experiences of SEWB. The challenges that have been faced in the effective implementation of the model across research, policy, and practice are then presented. The review then examines the extent literature focused on the SEWB model, to understand how the models’ components have been understood and operationalised, both in the academic literature and within policy and community practice contexts. Lastly, the review presents some recommended best practice approaches.
